I’m Published!

When I first encountered Building Thinking Classrooms, I was struck by how naturally its emphasis on collaboration, reasoning, and student discourse aligned with many of the language-support strategies I was already using with multilingual learners.

That connection led me to present this work at the 2026 Building Thinking Classrooms Conference and share it in this article in TESOL Connections, the professional magazine of TESOL International Association.

In the article, I explore how sentence expansion techniques from Judith Hochman's The Writing Revolution can help students develop the academic language needed to participate more fully in thinking-rich classrooms.
